Saturday Nature Story Time: Spring Babies Celebration

Spring is in the air—and that means babies are everywhere!

Join us this month for a special animal-themed Nature Story Time as we celebrate the season of new life. We’ll read delightful stories all about baby animals, sing songs about springtime on the prairie and around the lake, and enjoy movement activities that help little ones wiggle like ducklings and stretch like fawns.

Because so many wild animals are born in the spring, we’re throwing a joyful “birthday celebration” for our animal friends! We’ll learn about which animals welcome their babies this time of year and discover fun facts about their early days in nature.

As always, our program is designed with the Every Child Ready to Read practices in mind—featuring reading, singing, talking, writing, and play. Children will also enjoy a hands-on, tactile activity connected to our spring babies theme.

Some months we may even meet one of our animal ambassadors, and if the weather is beautiful, we’ll head outside to soak up the sights and sounds of spring around the lake park.

Come celebrate the season of new beginnings with stories, exploration, and a whole lot of birthday cheer!
