To celebrate Mo Willems birthday, we're having a special storytime! We'll be reading his books featuring our favorite pigeon, elephant, and piggie, and more!

African American author, photographer, and filmmaker Gordon Parks was well known for his documentation of American life and culture. Born in Fort Scott, Kansas, in 1912, he is one of the most esteemed image makers of all time.

Join us for an evening of wonderful dancing and music with the Esoke Cultural Arts center. They will be demonstrating and teaching traditional West African dances with drum accompaniment.  

Join The Steppers of KC to learn more about the history of KC style 2-stepping, followed by a brief dance lesson. The Steppers of KC are a dance organization that has a mission to keep the art of Kc style 2-stepping alive.
