Kansas Department of Aging & Disability Services: The Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) waiver serves individuals aged 5 and older who meet the definition of intellectual disability, having a developmental disability or are eligible for care in an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID). Individuals with a developmental disability may be eligible if their disability was present before the age of 22 and they have a substantial limitation in 3 or more areas of life functioning.
 

The Public Health Department is dedicated to preventing epidemics and the spread of disease, protect against environmental hazards, prevent injuries, promote and encourage healthy behaviors, respond to disasters and assist communities in recovery, and assure the quality and accessibility of health services throughout Wyandotte County.

Our galleries showcase Wyandotte County's rich history from the Kansas City Hopewell to modern times. The museum also features a variety of short-term exhibits in our auditorium.

The Parks & Recreation Department has incredible spaces and events for the whole family to enjoy. The department maintains several lakes and Community Centers are available for a huge variety of indoor/outdoor activities from crafts to sport leagues to fitness classes.
