Join us at the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 3:30 pm for Young Birders Club! At Young Birders Club, patrons will learn more about local birds. Each meeting, we will introduce participants to our "Bird of the Day" followed by a short guided hike near the library, where we will try to spot birds and hear their calls. Free binoculars will be available to borrow for any interested participants.

This program is intended for ages 5+ to seniors in high school. A parent or guardian is required for any patron under the age of 9. The hike will be on trails that are not considered ADA accessible and may not be suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Additionally, patrons should come dressed for the weather as most of the program will be outside. In the case of severe inclement weather, there will be an alternative indoor activity.

Birding is a mostly quiet or silent activity. Participants will be expected to be quiet or silent for the majority of the activity. An inability to follow this expectation may result in being asked to leave the program.
