Staff Favorite Recipes - Easy Cheddar Jalapeño Bites From Kala C.

The Kansas City, Kansas Public Library asked their employees for their favorite family recipes and the stories behind them. We'll be featuring them over the coming months. This week's offering is a variation of last week's Easy Brie Bites snack from Kala.

This invention showed up not long after the brie bites at a time brie couldn't be included on the necessities paycheck.

I won’t smother buttery brie with other flavors but basic cheddar exists to be meddled with. You can stuff these with just about anything. I've also used pizza toppings, just keep the marinara or other sauces on the side for dipping.

Ingredients:

  • Shredded cheddar

  • Sliced, pickled jalapeño

  • Tube of crescent rolls

Instructions:

Cut each crescent roll dough piece in half.

Spread the dough out, add a small amount of cheese, a few slices of peppers, fold corners over, seal well and bake according to the dough directions.
