Ville Valo (VV), most well-known as the frontman of HIM, released this album in January 2023. I fell in love with it immediately. The songs flow into each other so well that I can have the album on repeat for hours. It begins strong with "Echolocate Your Heart." The melody is infectious; it sucks you in. "Heartful of Ghosts" begins with a haunting electric guitar and rumbling drums, and it's all brought together by VV’s somber tone. The album releases you from the experience with "Vertigo Eyes," a rather hopeful track - it sounds like how it feels when you feel hypnotized by your beloved’s eyes. The song fades to a complete silence, a beautiful way to wrap up this album. The album is a dark romantic dream. VV’s vocals are charming; they fit the entire sound so well. If you are a fan of HIM, you might like this version of VV.
