KC Rep for All: One of the Good Ones

The Kansas City, Kansas Public Library is pleased to welcome the Kansas City Repertory Theater back this year as part of their community tour. They will be performing One of the Good Ones at West Wyandotte library on March 17 and South Branch Library on March 19, 2026.

The ultimate family showdown is on in this new comedy, One of the Good Ones, hailed as “genuinely funny, topical, and heartfelt” by Entertainment Weekly. When the “perfect” Latina daughter brings her boyfriend home to meet the parents, tensions run high and expectations are put to the test. Meet your new favorite family in this heartfelt story from Gloria Calderón Kellett, the co-creator and showrunner of Netflix’s One Day at a Time

KC Rep has partnered with Kansas City, Kansas Public Library to provide a unique experience for our community ensuring access to high-quality, professional theater without barriers. Performing the same script as seen on KC Rep’s main stage, the show is re-staged and re-imagined for each neighborhood venue, with a goal of connecting with community members where they live. For many, attending a theater performance like KC Rep is not ordinarily possible, whether due to cost, transportation, or other limitations. With the fourth year at West Wyandotte and the very first at South Branch, we hope to erase as many of those limitations as possible.

Last years performance of Broke-ology was a huge success; there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and the discussion afterward was very engaging. There is no charge to attend a performance at either location and no need to register. Seating is available on a first-come basis. We can't wait to show you to your seat and hope you will enjoy this years KC Rep for All performance of One of the Good Ones
