Preschool Playtime is for children between the ages of 2 and 5 and their guardians. A variety of age-appropriate games and activities will be provided each week to entertain your little ones.

Join us to celebrate Children’s Day/Book Day with free fun for the whole family at Emerson Park! Pick out a book that is yours to keep and enjoy a sweet treat! There will be plenty for everyone to enjoy including: 

Nature Storytime at the Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library!

Baby Storytime serves as your child’s first introduction to a storytime setting. We focus on interaction between baby and their caregiver with songs, books, bonding activities and finger plays. For children ages 0 to 2 with a caregiver.

Join us for stories, songs and playtime featuring active play and sensory activities. Perfect for preschoolers, but babies and toddlers are welcome, too!

Have a question? Need assistance? Our Community Support Librarian, Katy, will be offering open office hours every Wednesday from 1-3 PM at the West Wyandotte Library! 

To celebrate International Dance Day on April 29th, the Main Library is playing Just Dance 2025 on the Switch! For ages 8-19. 

Join us outdoors at KC Farm School at Gibbs Road for some fun and educational storytimes! Each week we will focus on a different nature theme and pair stories and songs with an earth-friendly educational activity.

Kids dive into the splash-tastic world of ocean science, discovering the gritty secrets of sand, the shell-shocking ways animals armor up, and the fin-tastic creatures that call the ocean home. No flippers needed.

Learn about the science of soap!  We will see what happens when you microwave bars of soap, make our own soapy solution, and even stand INSIDE a giant bubble!

Families are invited to join us for fun, interactive storytimes every Saturday morning. This special storytime will include singing, dancing, and some great books! This storytime is geared towards guests over the age of 2 and their families.
