Participate in Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library for our 4th annual Spring Cleaning event, where we will be selling all of our older science books for $1 each. We will also have random items for purchase.

Families are invited to join us for fun, interactive storytimes every Saturday morning. This special storytime will include singing, dancing, and some great books! This storytime is geared towards guests over the age of 2 and their families.

Set sail on a swashbuckling adventure with Luffy! Join our rollicking read-aloud where we’ll voice-act a graphic novel, infusing each scene with boundless energy and maybe even learning a pirate trick or two.

Join us for an engaging bilingual storytime. Each week features a fun theme and an after story craft!

Dress in clothes that love adventure and a little mess!

Want to try out some new board games? Have a game and want to teach it to others? Have a game and a group but nowhere to host your game day? West Wyandotte is the place to be for board games on Sunday! 

Let’s talk about the environment! We’ll be reading Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax followed by making a simple Truffula Tree pencil using pom poms and hot glue as The Lorax (1972) plays. The Lorax (1972) is 25 minutes long.

Preschool Playtime is for children between the ages of 2 and 5 and their guardians. A variety of age-appropriate games and activities will be provided each week to entertain your little ones.

Nature Storytime at the Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library for Earth Day!

Baby Storytime serves as your child’s first introduction to a storytime setting. We focus on interaction between baby and their caregiver with songs, books, bonding activities and finger plays. For children ages 0 to 2 with a caregiver.

Little ones enjoy three enchanting stories while grown-ups sip on something warm and wonderful! It’s the perfect blend of joy and java, because storytime isn’t just for kids! Only one small drink will be given to one kid & adult per family.

Join us for stories, songs and playtime featuring active play and sensory activities. Perfect for preschoolers, but babies and toddlers are welcome, too!

Celebrate Earth Day at West Wyandotte library with some fun earth friendly experiments and activities! Geared towards ages 2-5 years.

Have a question? Need assistance? Our Community Support Librarian, Katy, will be offering open office hours every Wednesday from 1-3 PM at the West Wyandotte Library! 

You can’t spell EARTH without ART! This Earth Day use natural resources like leaves, twigs, and grass, along with recycled materials like cardboard and plastic, to create unique art pieces. All materials supplied. 

Do you LOVE to build with Legos and blocks? Get creative and build anything you choose. Work on your own creations, or build as a team. We provide the materials – You bring your imagination. Ages 5-12. 

Kids - join West Staff in the auditorium for games, giant Legos, marble runs and more!
