All KCKPL locations will be closed on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 for a Staff Inservice day. Book drops will be locked at closing the night before.

All Kansas City, Kansas Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. 

You can, however, access KCKPL's eCommunity, which will link you up to services for eBooks, comics and audiobooks along with streaming movies and television shows. You also can research the history of Labor Day using one of our many databases.
