Speaker Bio
Joran Gomez is an apparel designer, pattern maker, and fashion educator with a passion for blending technical skill and creative design. With a degree in Apparel & Textile Design, they have built a career spanning small business ownership, sewn product development, and higher education, specializing in locally produced, slow fashion. Now based in Kansas City, they teach flat pattern development and apparel construction at Johnson County Community College while continuing to design and produce one-of-a-kind garments. Their work centers on craftsmanship, community-based production, and making apparel education accessible to all.
