Program Description

Event Details

For National Banned Books Week we’re showing Where the Wild Things Are, a movie based on Maurice Sendak’s award-winning picture book that has been previously banned and challenged in some classrooms and libraries. At 5:30pm we’ll be making and decorating a gold crown like Max wears in the story, and the film will start at 6:00pm. Popcorn provided.

Registration needed for the craft but not if only watching the movie. Adults allowed only if a child is present and younger children will need adult assistance for the craft.
