Event Details
Hike a portion of the Bridle Trail with a Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library staff member while keeping an eye out for the signs of spring at Wyandotte County Lake.
This program is for children ages 6 and up. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes that can get muddy, appropriate outdoor clothing, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Participants may only sign up for one Nature Quest program per day. The morning and afternoon programs will be the same on the same day; this is to provide multiple opportunities for as many people as possible to participate.
Road closure update 01/23/2026:
West Drive from Shelter 4 to the Mr. & Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library will be closed beginning Monday, January 26, 2026 to repair a retaining wall along the road. To access the library, please use the northern entrance off I-435 and Wolcott Drive to enter the park on 93rd Street. Details regarding the project can be found in this news article from FOX4KC.
