Program Description
Event Details
Bring your creativity and imagination to the woodlands outside of our library at Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library! Use acorns as people, pebbles as wishes, driftwood as waterfalls, and whatever else we can dream up with natural materials in an hour of imaginative play outdoors! This session is best suited for younger children, ages 4-8.
Participants may only sign up for one Nature Quest program per day. The morning and afternoon programs will be the same on the same day; this is to provide multiple opportunities for as many people as possible to participate.
Road closure update 01/23/2026:
West Drive from Shelter 4 to the Mr. & Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library will be closed beginning Monday, January 26, 2026 to repair a retaining wall along the road. To access the library, please use the northern entrance off I-435 and Wolcott Drive to enter the park on 93rd Street. Details regarding the project can be found in this news article from FOX4KC.
