Forget triple threat, Christopher Guest is a writer, director, actor, producer, lead guitarist, and... dancer? It's possible most people know him as the six-fingered Count Rugen in "The Princess Bride," but his legacy rests on his pioneering of the mockumentary. Shows like "The Office" and "What We Do in the Shadows" owe a huge debt to these (and other) Christopher Guest films.
On this night, we will be watching Christopher in Robert Reiner's 1984 film "This Is Spinal Tap" along with Michael McKean and Harry Shearer. It is rated R.
“This Is Spinal Tap” shines a light on the self-contained universe of a metal band struggling to get back on the charts, including everything from its complicated history of ups and downs, gold albums, name changes and undersold concert dates, along with those special behind-the-scenes moments that keep it all real.
