Audrey Hepburn was an actress and fashion icon whose movie career spanned four decades. She was mostly known as the female lead in romantic dramas, but worked in many genres including thrillers, comedies, crime, musicals, and even a little horror. AFI named her the third greatest female star of American cinema behind only Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis. She is one of only a handful of people who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
On this night, we will be watching Terence Young's 1967 film "Wait Until Dark" starring Audrey, Alan Arkin, and Richard Crenna.
After a flight back home, Sam Hendrix returns with a doll he innocently acquired along the way. As it turns out, the doll is actually stuffed with heroin, and a group of criminals led by the ruthless Roat has followed Hendrix back to his place to retrieve it. When Hendrix leaves for business, the crooks make their move – and find his blind wife, Susy, alone in the apartment. Soon, a life-threatening game begins between Susy and the thugs.
