This program, facilitated by experts from Independence Inc., provides an engaging and practical learning experience for youth and young adults developing self-advocacy skills, while also supporting families, caregivers, employers, business owners, and community members in building more inclusive spaces. Whether you are navigating these systems yourself or supporting others, this training offers clear, accessible, and actionable information.

Together, we’ll explore ways to shift perspectives, challenge common misconceptions, and strengthen confidence in advocating for equitable access and treatment. Participants will receive focused training on key areas of disability rights, including:

  • The legal definition of disability
  • Reasonable accommodations in employment and housing
  • Accessibility in everyday environments
  • Education supports, including IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Service animals and emotional support animals
