Event Details
An immersive journey from the heart of Colombia to the heartland of the United States. As told through the lens of visual art and poetry, this interactive experience invites you to step into the challenges, beauty, and complexity of finding belonging while straddling two cultures and a world of stories.
José Faus is a visual artist, performer, writer, and independent teacher/mentor with an interest in the role of artists as creative catalysts for community building. He received degrees from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in painting and creative writing. He is a founder of the Latino Writers Collective and sits on the boards of The Latino Writers Collective, The Full Frame Initiative, and Charlotte Street Foundation. His chapbook This Town Like That was released by Spartan Press. His book of poetry The Life and Times of José Calderon was published by West 39 Press.
Un viaje inmersivo desde el corazón de Colombia hasta el centro de Estados Unidos. Narrada a través de las artes visuales y la poesía, esta experiencia interactiva te invita a sumergirte en los desafíos, la belleza y la complejidad de encontrar tu lugar de pertenencia entre dos culturas y un mundo de historias.
