Can't find what you're looking for? We'll try to locate it for you. Ask any KCKPL staff member about requesting materials through interlibrary loan, or call Patti Myers at 913-279-2239 or email pmyers@kckpl.org.
Interlibrary Loans may be requested by any patron with a card in good standing. Patrons with temporary residences may use borrowed materials in the library only. The library will process five requests per patron per day, with additional requests processed on successive days until all have been addressed. The loan period is three weeks or the due date assigned by the lending library if under three weeks.
The service is free, however, patrons requesting materials from libraries charging fees, must pay those fees in full before receiving the requested materials. Overdue charges are the same as for items from the regular collection. Loss of attached book bands incurs a $1 fine. Patrons who don't return items are subject to referral to the Collection Agency.
Patrons accept responsibility for materials borrowed on their behalf and must pay for damages or loss of borrowed items while in their possession. Replacement costs are determined by libraries furnishing the materials.
