STARLAB: Learn all about stars and constellations in a way like no other! Climb into our room-size, portable planetarium to learn all about space and astronomy. We'll talk about stars, the moon, winter consteallations and the Greek mythology behind them. Chilren MUST be accompanied by an adult. No children under the age of five please. Participants may also make a star chart to take home following the program.

BIRD IN THE HAND: Join Lead Education Specialist and bird bander Craig Hensley for a morning of up close and personal looks at the songbirds visiting the library's bird feeders. From cardinals to chickadees, you'll learn about the birds' natural histories, bird banding & even help release a bird back to the wild. Call 299-2384.

BOY SCOUT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE MERIT BADGE: If you are a Boy Scout and need to complete the Environmental Science Merit Badge, this program is for you. We'll complete experiments/discussions at the library and each boy will be set up to complete the remaining requirements on their own, either before or after the program. There is $3 fee per participant to cover the cost of materials. Call 299-2384 by March 9 to register.

FAMILY SCIENCE DAY: Have you ever wondered how we manage to entertain all those thousands of school kids that we see at the library by the lake during the year? Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day of activities and experiments in chemistry, physics, earth science, biology and even microbiology. Children must be with an adult.

BEGINNING ARCHERY: This program promotes safety & the learning of sound archery basics. Participants will learn proper form & be guided through a demonstration of how a safe archery range is operated, as well as how to properly launch an arrow. Ages 8 & up.
