Rachel Mindrup graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She continued her education at the Art Academy of Los Angeles and recently at the Loveland Acedemy of Fine Art. She has studied painting, drawing, and illustration under Glenn Vilppu, David Leffel, and Mark Westermoe as well as many other professional artists. She exhibits both regionally and nationally and has just won “Best of Show” in a regional competition in Loveland, Co. Her work has also been selected to exhibit in the Nebraska Governor’s Mansion May-June 2004.
She now works as a professional illustrator and artist. Clients include Peter Kiewit & Sons, Girls and Boys Town, Walgreens Corporation, Nebraska Furniture Mart, HDR, CSO and Miller Brewing Company. She also has had numerous children’s books published and book covers published through Ivy House Publishing and Beckham Publishing Group. More of her work can be viewed at her website.
