John Wilson has always loved history and airplanes. He spends time at airshows and air museums getting a close-up view of historic planes. John enjoys researching his subject, from reading and studying Squadron Signal books to finding information about a World War II squadron that saw action in the Battle of Britain. He works in charcoal, pencil, watercolor, and oil. John is currently studying with Jim Mirick, a noted local aviation artist.
