Jappamation Studios Illustrations by Anthony Jappa A native of Kansas City, Kansas, Anthony Jappa has been drawing and illustrating books and comics for over 20 years. In this 20 years, Jappa has given numerous informative cartooning workshops to students in the Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri school districts, donated hundreds of comics to those less fortunate and participated in safety events for local organizations. He has also created, illustrated and sold comic book creations all over the world. During this long career, he has also illustrated comics for others, such as: nationally known educator Carl Boyd, MAST Ambulance, and for Star Patrol's creator, Herbert Simmons.
In 1996, Anthony Jappa founded Jappa Comics, a comic book company that publishes and distributes Jappa's own creations. These creations include, Jiroboy: The Mechnorganic Kid, Americaman, Midknyte: Agent of Synjen and Mayhem Academy. These same comics have been sought after by the video game division of MTV, and for international licensing by Hit Comics in Bulgaria.
In the wake of the Internet, Jappa has not limited himself to just pen and ink, he has even braved the information superhighway by designing and developing Internet web sites featuring these characters.
Jappa is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
