Americana by Joyce Greer Joyce Greer, a Kansas City, Kansas artist, loves detail in her drawings and oil paintings. Yet she offers the viewer the invitation to feel and remember a special person and moment in time. She began her professional career at the age of eighteen. She has taught portrait paintings for about fifteen years. Her work is nationally known and has been in many juried art shows such as Art Westport, Crown Center Show, The American Royal Show, The Kansas City Museum Show, Art in the Woods, Brookside Art Fair, K.C.P.T. Art Show, the Indian Market and the Knickerbocker Art Show in Sedona, Arizona. She has been included in the Directory of American Portrait Artists. In addition her work is in the collection of Ed Asner. Also a painting of "Iron Eyes Cody" is in the collection of the Gene Autry Museum. She also has a portrait in the Agricultural Hall of Fame. Ms. Greer continues to teach and do portraits of "Americana."
