The staff of the Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library has a unique opportunity every day to observe some of the best of the natural world. The Wyandotte County Lake Park is sometimes seen as a hidden treasure, and we want to share it with our local and regional community. This exhibit demonstrates our effort to capture part of the beauty of the seasons, plants and wildlife near our library and lake surroundings. We staff members know that we are very fortunate to work here at Wyandotte County Lake and we hope our exhibit will encourage others to visit the lake, to enjoy everything it offers, and to work to protect our environment.
