Paintings by Jeannine Fallert

Jeannine Fallert worked for 25 years as a commercial artist before pursuing her present interest in fine art. She began as a fashion illustrator in St. Louis, working for Stix, Bear & Fuller Department Store. She received her training in fashion illustration and commercial art at Washington University School of Fine Art. She also attended St. Louis University for two years.

She moved to Kansas City in 1970, and continued as an illustrator and commercial artist, working for several advertising agencies and for Macy's as a fashion artist. Finally, she opened her own advertising agency called "Advertising Dimensions." For five years they produced advertising for many clients including brochures, illustrations, television ads and other types of advertising. One of her clients then made an offer to buy the agency. She accepted and moved her agency and employees to his new manufacturing facility where they established an art department with Jeannine as Art Director with five artists under her supervision.

She left after five years and did other types of work including free-lance brochure work. For the past three years she has been working in a new direction, pursuing an interest in fine art painting including landscapes, still life and portraits. She works equally well in pastel, oil and watercolor.

Jeannine still attends workshops and classes at every opportunity. She considers this a lifetime endeavor. She has studied with Steve Childs, Larry Mansker, Warren Taylor and Carl Dalio. She has also studied with other local artists and art groups. She is a member of The Greater Kansas City Art Association, Missouri Watercolor Society, and a charter member of the Midwest Pastel Society.
