Paintings by Lillian Engelbrecht

Lillian S.L. Engelbrecht, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, has been a member of the Wyandotte Art Association since 1983 and is the present treasurer. Lillian is also a memeber of the Senior Arts Council. Lillian has had a number of very good art teachers, but the first, Miss Helen Inge who was her Junior High School art teacher, and the last, Mrs. Bertha Powers, were very special in her art training.

Lillian taught art as a volunteer at Presbyterian Manor Kansas City, Kansas to the senior residents for 13 years. Lillian has also given a number of volunteer demonstrations to various art interested groups of people. Lillian wishes to share the talent God gave her as a child and let it have full bloom in her retirement years, this wonderful work of painting, with all people interested in art.

Lillian graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1947. She and her husband Karl had an office in Kansas City, Missouri. They raised a daughter and a son and now have two grandsons. Lillian presents her work with the aim, "To God be the glory."
