Enchanted by Land of Enchantment Watercolors by Ann Durham "I have been enchanted by the shifting shadows and brilliant colors of the southwest for the past 27 years. I have spent many summers and any other time possible painting in that area.
In my work I treasure the dramatic effect of contrasting light and dark values with strong brilliant bursts of color. I look for a composition that defines the space in an unusual way. I search for an area to paint that captures my attention and emotions. Often times there is usually something a little incongruous about the particular view that I am painting. I hope in viewing my work others will share the joy that I have in painting." --Ann Durham
