Harriet Downie is a resident of Kansas City, Kansas. She has been doing counted cross stitch for a number of years. Harriet is a retired teacher who spent many years working and teaching in the Kansas City, Kansas school district. She is an active volunteer in the community and spends several hours each week bolunteering at the Agricultural Hall of Fame, Providence Hospital, and here at the West Wyandotte Library. Harriet says that her cross stitch pieces are not complete until they have been artistically framed by Sydney Shepherd.
