Marla Craven is a self-taught photographer who learns through experimentation, practice, reading, and studying the work of others. She took her first picture with a brownie camera given to her by her parents as she was leaving for Girl Scout Camp. Since then photography has supplanted other pursuits and has become Marla's focal point.
Marla believes that the goal of the photographer is to produce an image that communicates to its observer, through choice of subject matter, composition, and technique, the personal perspective of the artist.
