Photographs
by Tim Andersen
Ask Tim what he enjoys most and he'll tell you in a heartbeat: taking pictures. Nature pictures, specifically. Although he thouroughly enjoys photographing weddings and other photojournalistic assignments, nothing suits him better than to get out in nature and capture it in a frame.
Tim graduated from Kansas State University in the summer of 2005 in Information Systems, which he currently uses to develop websites and databases as a freelance contractor for a variety of clients. He also works at Homer's Coffeehouse in Overland Park as a barista. Most weekday mornings you can come in and find him whipping out lattes and mochas. His love for photography was a more recent discovery during his junior year at K-State, and he's been at it ever since.
The collection of photos you are viewing were mainly photographed this year here in Kansas, although a handful were shot in Colorado and Wyoming. Too many people never get a chance to see some of the more scenic parts of the state, so the goal with these pictures was to capture Kansas' unique, and sometimes subtle, beauty.
All the photos were framed and matted by Tim using conservation-quality mats, borad, and glass. These pictures are available in a variety of sizes. To see more of Tim's photographs, visit his website at www.andersenimages.com.
