Paintings by Allison Hedgpeth
Allison Hedgpeth earned a B.F.A. from the Kansas City Art Institute and an M.A. from the University of Missouri Kansas City. She is the recipient of endowments sponsored by the U.M.K.C. Women's Center and the Kansas City Art Institute.
Allison has participated in several jured shows in the Kansas City area and was included in a jured show for the Mesa Art Center in Mesa, Arizona entitled, "It's All Relative."
She is a painter, printmaker, teacher, wife and mother. Her work is included in several private collections in the Contitnental United States, Hawaii, Spain and England.
Artist's Statement
"Painting, for me, is an exercise in mindfulness.
I observe my life, and the lives of those around me.
When I paint these observations, I preserve them, and share them with others.
I consider life a blessing.
